03 Apr Haggadah-The Good Wicked Child

The Yid HaKadosh said, “Since everything God created has a purpose, there must be a purpose in atheism. But what can it be? God allows people to doubt His existence,” the master said, “so that when it comes to helping the unfortunate, believers should not leave it to God, but behave as if God does not exist and it all depends upon them alone.”

We have already described in “The Evil Inclination As Partner,” and, “Fighting the Fire of Anger XIII,” that we can take the most negative characteristics and use them for good. We can keep this in mind as we read of the “Wicked Child” in the Haggadah, and remember, that even if an atheist, we can use his issues as a power for good.
